We recycle much of our water which reduces the demand on fresh water and sewer treatment.  We use only about 15 gallons of fresh water to wash each car!  That may sound high, but figure that an average shower uses about 30 gallons, an average load of clothes in your washing machine uses about 50 gallons, and washing your dishes in a dish washer averages around 18 gallons!
